Luke has been with me since he was a yearling. He is from the Salty Plains ranch in Oklahoma...ranked as #1 breeder of all time in POAC. He just got his PHC last summer which guarantees he can be shown on the POAC circuit. He is also registered with IQPA also. Luke has been my personal pony for trail rides and camping for the past four years. He's awesome trail horse. I've been training him on the extreme mountain trail course in Holland and he's done great!... (read more) I've also used him to give lead line and walk trot lessons to some very little children. He's quiet with them, knows they are kids. Has more slow than go. Independent - can ride out alone. Willingness to learn.
Very smart and sensitive. Because Luke is sensitive you must be a kind, quiet rider. He will not tolerate spurs or being tanked on. Rides off leg/seat pressure and neck reins. No need for a spur!! Very correct confirmation. Excellent legs and feet. Balanced. Attractive masculine head with foxy ears. Would do well in halter, if fit up. I could see him winning halter and ranch classes under saddle. Will guarantee him sound. Never been lame or sick. All of our ponies are on organic grain free diet and are dry lotted.
