Color Artifact, “Arty” is a 2 year old chestnut (paint) Quarter Horse Geling standing 14.3hh, expected to mature to ~15.2hh. Arty is by Living Large (These Irons Are Hot x Quit Staring) and out of DGS Indycisive (Indian Artifacts x Krymsun Hot Invite). Living Large is a 10 time World Champion and World Champion Sire and has won multiple AQHA Reserve World and Congress Champions.... (read more) Living Large also had a successful career in pleasure driving, earning ribbons in various open, and amateur divisions. DGS Indycisive has competed in hunter classes, earning ribbons for Level 1 (Amateur) Regional Experience. These bloodlines along with Arty’s floaty ground covering gaits are sure to set him up for success in the hunter arena. Arty has a kind and highly trainable personality. He is easy to handle, standing quietly for the vet and farrier, ties and has started to be exposed to clippers and bathing. He has been introduced to various obstacles with ease including water, flowerboxes, and tarps. Also, Arty will lunge at the walk and trot both directions. With his laid-back personality and long and low movement, Arty could find success in the hunter, showmanship, trail, or pleasure driving show rings.

University of Connecticut Department of Animal Sci

The University of Connecticut offers a four-year Animal Science degree with an Equine Science area of interest. The program is flexible, offering both a broad liberal education, involving a choice of several electives, combined with the option of individual development. A two-year program is available through the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture in which courses cover the more practical aspects of Animal Science....
