“Nero’s Raven” aka Raven - June 25, 2018, FBHR - registered Friesian / Arab Mare
She is the first one to greet you at the gate and always wanting attention. She is naturally very curious about everything and very intelligent. She is halter broke but pushy. GREEN. Not for beginners, needs a confident handler. The more worked with the better she is. This mare needs a job. She can go in so many directions, I just don’t have the time for her.... (read more) An unexpected hip surgery led to me being unable to do much with her for almost two years. I started working with her and she did amazing. She had 90 days of professional training last summer (23) on top of my own work with her. She has been saddled, rode minimally, she bathes, holds for farrier, ties. Trailering she does need work, but she loads fine. Due to me having another unexpected injury I realize that unfortunately it is no longer fair to her to sit when she has so much potential. Now the negative: Small OCD lesion on right hock. Radiographs were done and orthopedic surgeon consulted with Anoka Equine Clinic in MN. Xrays Available
Severity of the OCD lesion would have to be determined with diagnostic arthroscopy. Per orthopedic consult it may or may not need to be removed due to how minor it is. Mare is not lame. Had some swelling but it did not affect her movements. Anoka’s quote is $2,200 for the minor treatment.
Genetic DNA in process- possible option for breeding to Friesian Stallion that is available for additional price.
