Yes, it is true!! Curly horses are hypo-allergenic for people who are allergic to horses. I have had dozens of people come to our farm and be thrilled to find out that they can touch, groom and ride a horse. Some have even shed tears of joy!! They are very rare with only about 300 of them worldwide. We have ridden, bred and raised Curly Fox Trotters for the past 19 years.
ZGC Royal Flush is a beautifully marked black and white curly Missouri Fox Trotter filly.... (read more) We named her Royal Flush because she got it all. Gorgeous black and white markings, super sweet and teachable personality, fantastic naturally smooth gaits (see video) and she is homozygous for the curly gene! That means that when bred in the future, she will produce 100% curls in all her foals guaranteed! She got a cream gene, so she can produce buckskin and palomino foals as well. Royal is homozygous for the gaited gene as well. She learns her lessons quickly, loves people and comes right up to the fence to greet you.
We believe that all horses should be as prepared as possible for their age when they go to their new home. For the foals, we lay them down and desensitize them at birth, teach all our foals to lead, back, pick up feet, load into and back out of a trailer, be gently flogged with a rope and whip Clinton Anderson style, be accepting of wormer (by putting fingers and the wormer stick in their mouth without the actual med) etc. They all get used to saddle pads and bareback pads, go on many walks with mom around our farm with tons of scary farm equipment and general farm trash, get ponied down roads, through ditches on concrete under building roofs etc. to desensitize them and prepare them for the real world. We find that they do much better if they have a solid base of being worked with before they leave for their new home.
Royal will be ready to go to her new home Mid September. In these videos, she is not quite finished with her training. We actually have not worked with the babies in about 6 weeks so this is after a big break! We will be refining her training as time goes on. : )
I can get anything else you need in video or photos or come see her in person! : ) Please contact us for more information.

Zion's Gait Curlies
We breed exceptionally rare Curly Missouri Fox Trotters. They are hypo-allergenic for most people and are very hardy. There are only about 250 registered dominant Curly Missouri Fox Trotters in existence. Since they are dominant curlies, they grow beautiful, long manes and tails. Gentle, intelligent and friendly horses, they win over the hearts of their owners and other admirers in many nations. We breed for excellent conformation, gentle temperaments and the smoothest trail gaits available.... (read more) We have sold horses all over the world including France, Germany, Finland and Canada. We prepare foals the right way for their new homes : )
