Heidi Williams Training Center

Heidi started riding as a child in her local German riding club. While pursuing a career as a nurse anesthetist, Heidi devoted all of her free time to riding. She earned the "Deutsche Reitabzeichen" German Riding Federation – FN – in Bronze and Silver and in 2000 she successfully completed the course to "Trainer C" riding instructor and trainer. In Germany Heidi trained with Gerd Velte, who learned the art of dressage at the "Spanische Hofreitschule" in Vienna and worked as a "Bereiter" for Harry Boldt and Joseph Neckerman. In 2001 Heidi started riding regularly with Marcus Erkens, a successful German Grand Prix rider and "Pferdewirschaftsmeister FN"

Since moving to the U.S. with her family in 2004 Heidi has been teaching in the Kansas City area. She has taken her students to the Midwest and Regional Championships, produced USDF Bronze Medal rider, and KCDS Schooling Show Series Champions. In 2006 she returned to competing herself and has been successful at USDF recognized shows, earning her USDF bronze medal in only one show season. Heidi also trained and showed Purebred Arabians and Half-Arabians to Regional Dressage Championships and National Top Ten Dressage Titels. She clinics on a regular basis with well known (international) trainers and is currently enrolled in the USDF L-Program.
