I’ve been taking photos for many years. I turned my favorite hobby into a profession 9 years ago. During that time I had the privilege to meet some very wonderful people and animals.

In 2009 I closed my studio and took a leave from the industry to explore other ventures that interested me.

At the time I was happy to go out into the fields and find tiny creatures and birds that delighted me. But I knew it was time to return to my profession after two very special requests from pet owners.

These families were faced with the harsh reality that our pets get old, they get sick and they are not with us forever. After finishing these sessions I knew in my heart that this what I was meant to do with my talent.

Now out from my semi-retirement I am happy to have my camera back in hand.

Just like any crafts-person you can not specialize in everything. And so as a photographer I decided that I shouldn’t either.

I learned that I truly love taking photos of animals! I’ve always had them in my life. Today I have three wonderful pets; Maggie our dog and our two cats Ben & Truffles. Each unique in their personalities. They bring joy and laughter to our home.

Animals touch a special place in my heart so much so that I am drawn into their world.

To take great photos it takes more than skill and equipment; it takes heart. A feeling of overwhelming joy to be there in the moment. To see things as they do and experience a different perspective to life.
