Training
Galloping Pines Ranch is a small farm located 15 miles East of Springfield, MO. Specializing in Draft horse under saddle training. Quality Equine boarding available (temporary only!) on farm for families going on vacation, moving, etc...

Overnight or temporary boarding available for $20/day/horse. Stays lasting longer than one week will benefit from a reduced rate of $15/day. Grass hay provided, bring your own grain. Stalls, Paddocks and pastures available to meet a variety of needs.

Training is available for draft horses and draft crosses. I will speak with you about where your horse is before training and what you want from the training process to determine the best plan and time frame. 60 day minimum for un-broke horses. 30 days is simply the billing period.

RATES PER MONTH:
Training (under saddle): $300
Training (ground manners and up to, but not riding): $150
Training (to harness/cart): $350
Stall boarding: $350
Pasture/Paddock boarding: $200

Lessons with your horse once a week during training are included in the training fee (no discount if you should choose not to use those lessons, this is merely a bonus to choosing Galloping Pines). Additional lessons can be purchased for $30/lesson.

Most horses are able to learn the following within 60 days under saddle - walk, trot, canter (with correct leads), yield shoulders, yield hind quarters, side passing, turn on the forehand, turn on the hind quarters, starting neck reining and roll backs (if Western), Ground poles and other obstacles. (there are occasionally horses who have difficulty with certain things. Being "retrained" is always harder than learning brand new)

60 minimum required for driving training on horses that are not broke to drive. Some have asked why driving training costs more than under saddle. Simply because the equipment used during driving training is a lot more expensive to replace in the event that a horse breaks something.
Trail Access
Compton Hollow Conservation is 10 mins away. Its a great easy ride and horses with good feet dont need shoes, when in doubt about whether its too rocky for your horse please put on front shoes. Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, Bar K, Hullston Mills
