Therapeutic horsemanship activities include grooming, saddling, leading and warm up activities on the ground as well as mounted riding for individuals or in small groups. Some of our riders are independent and others are assisted by a horse leader and two sidewalkers to ensure their safety. Physical disabilities ranging from cerebral palsy to accidental injury, cognitive difficulties and disabilities, mental illness, autism, developmental delay and emotional disorders have all responded positively to equine facilitated activity. Riding offers an effective alternative to develop muscle tone and improve posture, with the added advantage of the dynamics of the horse's movement. The bond that develops between human and horse also opens many new opportunities, such as independence and responsibility.

We also can offer riding lessons, corporate events, pony parties and much more. We have a 62x62 roundpen and a 100x200 arena and several pastures.

Through the use of therapeutic equine-assisted activities and learning in addition to mentoring and life skills programs, we can achieve our goal to improve the quality of life, self-confidence, and overall health of vulnerable and underserved populations.
