My name is Tiffany. I am 33 years old and live in Avondale. I moved
to AZ over 20 years ago with my family (I was only 13 at the time)
from Bellingham Washington. While in Bellingham from ages 8 to 13, I
rode and showed horses as well as some training. I was into mostly
Western Pleasure, English, Showmanship and started to dab into a
little jumping. When moving here to AZ, we moved my 2 horses with us.
Tuesday was a Morgan/Arabian, she was older and a retired hunter
jumper (Washington and Oregon State Champion Pony Hunter at one time
to be exact) that I learned everything I know from.... (read more) Riding came
naturally to me and as I learned I was also able to transition her to
be more rounded in Western and English pleasure. I also had Tracy. A
Palomino Quarter Horse who was well known in the town for Reining.
Also, as I learned I was able to transition her to be more rounded in
Western and English Pleasure. Between the two horses, I have won
several ribbons ranging from 1st to 7th place, high point a few times
as well. My parents owned a horse stables in Bellingham and we had
several lesson horses which I was in attendance for majority of them
as the "trainers aid". If a horse acted up, a rider was scared, a
rider needed help with their grooming or tack, I was there to help.
To make a long story short (trying to at least!), being only 13 when I
moved here I ended up getting into other things as my horses were kept
far away from where I lived and I didn't always have a way to get out
to them. I rode off and on, went into my last show in 2003 with Tracy
which I won a 1st and 4th place ribbon (after not riding for a while
or showing for several years) and ended up having my son shortly
after. I decided to do what I knew was wrong in my heart and sell my
two horses. Biggest mistake EVER. I wish I kept them but I had
several reasons why I had to do what I did.
The reason I am writing to you is because I am interested in getting
back into riding. Most places require you take lessons and such and I
honestly feel I do not need basic lessons. Or any for that matter.
Yes, I am a bit rusty but I know it'll come back naturally. At the
same time I would love to learn more as I am sure things have changed
quite a bit in the last 20 years, but I would also love to transition
somehow from my career in Customer Service for a chemical fertilizer
company into a career with my one true passion and talent, horses.
Plus my 4 year old daughter takes after me and absolutely adores
horses so I would like to get her some experience as well. I'm just
simply looking for somewhere I can start out as maybe help with
grooming, bathing, exercising, lessons, whatever may be and go from
If you are willing, and able, to meet this coming weekend I would love
to visit your facility and talk with you and see if there is any room
for me to dedicate at least one day a week to spend out there. I'm
simply just looking for the opportunity to get back into horses until
I am ready and capable of buying and caring for one.
Anyway, if you could please reply back and let me know anything you
can tell me I would greatly appreciate it. At this time I only have
weekends available but that's ok, I would just LOVE to start back
