- River Side Stables is a small farm located in the mountains of Eastern, Kentucky. We have raised and trained horses for 10+ years. We love to work with horses. We work with gaited and non-gaited. We use natural horsemanship techniques, no beating or whipping. We are now taking in horses to train, we don't take in more than one horse at a time. We like to work with one horse and devote all our time to it so please call asap. If you have more than one horse we would be more than happy to work with all of them, just one at a time. We also have a multi-horse discount. We charge $300 a month or if you have more than one horse the price is $250 a month per horse. And we also offer "Pay by Day". Owner MUST supply feed and hay and bring the horse to us. Sorry, we don't do pick ups. We do not break horses. We can work with ground respect, Imprinting and halter breaking of foals, Starting a colt (Ground respect and lunging), Desensitizing, Finishing green broke, Beginning jumping, Introduce the barrel pattern, teach a trotty horse to stay in gait, and more.. Just let us know what you need. We do not take studs. We have stalls and pasture room. Horses will be turned out in the day and stalled at night.
We also are now giving riding lessons for beginners ages 8 and up. We charge $20 per each 45-60 minute lesson. If you just got a horse and want to learn the ropes let us help. We can help you learn to tack, brush, care for and ride your horse. We will help you learn horse body language. Let us help you with all your horse problems or issues.
