Helms Hill Farms is proud to offer Marge for your consideration. Marge is a 10 year old 15.1hh bay tobiano Gypsy X mare. She’s a very stout gal with beautiful coloring and very nice feathering. Marge stands for the farrier and has impeccable, solid feet and is barefoot. Marge also stands for the vet, stands tied, cross tied, to be tacked up, and mounted. Marge lunges well, loads well, gets along in a herd, and is a very easy keeper. Good ground manners but can be pushy at feeding time.... (read more) Marge is WTC under saddle, however she is also one of the laziest things on four legs and would much prefer a life of leisurely trail rides. She requires a bit of encouragement to trot and a lot of leg to canter. No buck, kick, rear, bite etc. 100% sound. Out on trails, Marge is very brave and very safe. Nothing bothers this girl: tractors, ATVs, dogs, cows, water, etc. She will lead or follow. She will ride English or western. Her neck reining is very rusty though her leg cues are solid.
