Thoroughbred Makeover Eligible mare available for adoption. Laffit Girl aka Hazel was started as a racehorse but had a fairly lackluster stint at racing before retiring with a bow on her right front. Her last race was 10/29/21. She has received ample downtime prior to coming to KHS and the bow is old, cold, and set. She should be ready to start back training/conditioning. She currently appears sound w/t/c and is with a trainer in Lexington, KY to brush up on her training.... (read more) She is up to date on Coggins, farrier care, dental, vaccinations, deworming, and has seen a chiropractor just to cover all the bases. 1/11/23: Laffit Girl received an informal evaluation. She was saddled, mounted and ridden walk and trot with no issues just needs a bit more focus and time to build her muscle/skills. She will go far with a rider to teach her confidence, to focus, and to get her back into shape after a lengthy vacation from work but she remains sweet and friendly with staff and visitors.
