Beans is a handsome Quarter Horse (grade) gelding with a history of trail riding and leisure riding. He arrived overweight with neglected hooves and is now shaping up to be ready for adoption. Beans has a previous coronet injury on his left front that has healed but grows down as a permanent crack, however the farrier feels he should be serviceably sound with no more than regularly scheduled farrier visits for trims at normal intervals. Beans can be a bit attached as he was to his mare friend that was surrendered with him, but he seems to be capable of making new friends as well.... (read more) Beans has not yet had his dental or Coggins but they should be scheduled soon. He has been test ridden a few times and seems pretty broke, he may not be willing to ride away from friends alone for a beginner but is likely fine for a beginner to ride following along on a trail and otherwise seems intermediate safe.Adoption processIn 2015, KHS launched our Equine C.A.R.E.
