I am selling a 12h+ pony mare, approx. 10 years old, Palomino/Buckskin Paint. Very stout, extremely good looking. No buck, bite, kick. She is not registered and showed in Open classes. Has been hauled and shown more than most 20year old horses. This pony has been sitting in a show barn now for three years and will need to be tuned back up for show or schooling for kids. We bought her at a show (they brought her to us so we could see her straight from her pasture at the barn) , took her home and jumped on bareback and rode her without any issue after this three years of sitting (these are the rough pics from that moment she first stepped foot on our property).... (read more) My daughter is 11 years old and is of average height and weight for her age.
Not spooky at all, feet have just been trimmed (never foundered) teeth floated in November. Her coggins just expired but I can get that done for you and she will be due for her vaccinations. I have all her records. She was sold to me because her owner outgrew her (legs drag the ground! lol) It was a very emotional sell and I promised I would get the best home I could for her. So if you can't afford to take proper care of her don't call me.
She ties, tacks, loads, trims, bathes wonderful. Easy to catch. She is fat and needs a diet right now.
She was shown in English/dressage discipline, but as stated above will need a refresher to take her leads, set her head in the proper place etc. I will let her go to a home where she can be trail ridden as long as she will be given a home with lots of attention. We trail ride and our horses are treated like show horses so I know there is a little girl or boy who could do the same. She rides in a snaffle. There is a lot of great qualities about this pony and not my typical Shetland I sell for kids, if you are looking for a one of a kind and a show prospect for your kids to start on this would be the one. Not scared to put little ones on this pony, could start lead line classes and tune her up and then let them do full shows on her by their self once they learn. Call to discuss any questions you have. This picture is of her owner showing her in 2009-2010 show season, recent pictures are on Craigs list. There is a craigs list ad with more pictures of her: Go to Tulsa Listing, Farm and Garden section, and type in "Kids Pony" or "Coweta" and search for her.
