Twices Perfection, or Red, as I call him, was a padded show horse for many years. We bought him and took him off pads, turned him out and let him learn to move naturally. Once he was in a normal shoe, I started trail riding him and he took right to it. He goes where pointed. Creeks, logs, any normal trail circumstance. Ridden near cars, dogs, alpacas, etc. He is not spooky, alert, but not spooky. Red typically comes out with what I call a "5 minute high"...... (read more)till he sees that he's just going to trail ride, not show! He has not done anything bad, he just is ready to go. He is a small boy with a big heart.
When we first got Red, he cribbed in the stall. He had been stalled for most of his life. Once we turned him out to be a normal horse, I have never seen him do it again.
I would recommend an advanced, confident beginner and up for him.
I have other pictures, if interested, please contact me.
