Video taken today 12/27 fist time on cattle in at least 4 years, he is rusty but has a handle, and try, not afraid of the herd. This horse will work given a chance. 10yr old AQHA bay gelding 15 hands prior sorting experience and per prior owner he is money earnings in sorting. He has been off of cattle competeively for 4 years but during that time was trail ridden and used to check cattle, he has also tracked calves out of the box. He rides in the arena as well, he collects nicely with lateral and vertical flexion, he has great movement for a cutting bred horse allowing him to be flexible in discipline choice. this horse has never offered to crow hop, buck, rear, kick or bite in the almost year that I have owned him, but a horse is a horse and none of them are perfect. He is a very athletic gelding, highly doubt you will " run out of horse" regardless of the task. I simply do not click with this horse hence why he is for sale. He has a small old cosmetic scar on the right hip, otherwise he is a clean legged and an attractive horse with big soft eyes. He loads, leads, ties, tacks easily, is good for the vet and ferrier. He does not work on a flag I have been asked this a few times, and will reiterate, this is not a cutting horse. Most ranch sorting horses never work a flag. This horse, in my opinion, is not a suitable beginners horse as he has too many buttons, he would benefit from more consistent riding than what I can provide I feel that you would get more out of him, use him as a leisure trail mount or put him back on cattle. He has a current coggins, and is UTD on vaccines and worming. He can be viewed at an indoor arena in Eddyville Ky.
Pedigree info: this top side of his pedigree needs no introduction in my opinion, sire, grand sire, grand dam and third generation horses have a multitude of attributes, NCHA earnings, COA's, AQHA championships, production records etc. his dam has almost 12 thousand in NCHA, and the grand sire on bottom has in excess of 140 thousand in NCHA earnings and a COA.
