7 year old grade buckskin mare. 15-15.2 hands, almost anyone can ride her. Has been trotted around the barrels at a local rodeo, was ridden in a parade, was ridden in the grand entry and by the queen at the rodeo this year. She's a really good horse, gets along great with the other mares. Not the top of the pecking order but not on the bottom either. Rides with a bit or a Hackamore, bareback or in saddle, Haul's well, trims well, no vices except maybe a little buddy sour at times.... (read more) For that reason alone I would not say she is beginner friendly but kid friendly yes, experienced children. She has a tendency to throw her head around at times and especially when backing or loping. I've had a trainer look at her and work with her once and she said it can be fixed if you work with her on it for about 30 days. She just hasn't ever been taught what to do with her head properly. All of my kids have ridden her including my seven-year-old who rode her recently in a horsemanship clinic that our county put on. We just have too many to feed right now and need to thin the herd a little. She's an easy keeper, good feet, all-around good horse. Just had her feet done this week and wormed her. Current Coggins. Had her teeth floated about four months ago. Asking $1200.00 no trades or low balling on this one please. Mabank, TX
Here are a few videos. You can see what I mean, in the second video, by her being buddy sour. If I didn't mention it in the video you probably wouldn't have even noticed. It's not that big of a problem. She does like to throw her head some but we've been working with her on this with some techniques suggested by a trainer and with a tie down and she is remarkably better since these videos were taken.
