If you're looking for a head turner this is the guy for you. King is a 13 year old 16 hand half Friesian half Missouri Fox Trotter. He's NOT gaited though like the Fox Trotter. His strides and body type are very much Friesian. This horse is an absolute beauty and has that very sweet meet you at the gate personality.
King is currently owned by Miracles in Motion, a therapeutic horseback riding ranch in Swisher. He was originally added to the program because of his sweet personality and size.... (read more) Since he's been at the ranch though we've found that this horse needs more of a job than Miracles can give him. He's a horse that needs consistent training and work and we don't have the ability to give him that now.
This horse could be taken many directions. He likes trail rides but has also been rode English and Western in the arena (although he does not neck rein). He just came out of 60 days of training where his ground work was worked on and he got riding time as well. This horse has beautiful movement but can be hard to keep on the rail and has bucked going into the canter. He needs an experienced rider that can be consistent and patient with him. He seems better on the rail moving to the right than to the left. We're not sure what the lack of confidence is on the right side of his body but it's also something to keep in mind if you're looking to show or do arena work.
We're very sad to see this horse go but Miracle's prides itself on taking very good care of our horses and this horse needs a more consistent harder job than we can give him. He'll be much happier with someone that can really do something neat with him.
The money for this horse will go towards our non profit program to help people with disabilities connect with the energy and spirit of the horse.
We would love to answer any questions you have about this horse and let you come see him.
