Hancocks Lil Hazard
3 y/o AQHA Blue Roan Filly
She has that great Hancock breeding as well as Blue Valentine!
Hazard is about 15 hands. She was started as a 2 y/o and had about 30 days put on her, but she tore a muscle in her shoulder, so had to have some time off from riding. After that I did not have much time for her, so she sat for about 10 months. This spring I started riding her again, but due to having other young horses to ride, she is only getting ridden once or twice a week.... (read more)
She is 100% sound! She is very athletic and works very hard for you. She always gives you 120%! She will need more training. She does not have her leads down yet, and is a little stiff to the right. She will need an experienced rider. She stops, backs, two tracks, side passes, counter archs, pivots off the front and hind end. Basically she just needs someone to put a little more time on her. She rides in a snaffle or bosal.
Hazard is not a horse that can sit for too long without riding, due to the lack of consistent training. This is my fault, not hers, I just haven't given her the time she needs. She has been trained outdoors so she is not spooky riding outside through the pasture or along the trail or in the wind. She is not barn sour or buddy sour. She rides out great with other horses and by herself. I did ride her in a parade last year and she did wonderful. She was more well behaved than many older horses.
This filly is very well muscled and will work her butt off for you! She is up to date on all vaccines and was dewormed in May. She stands tied, stands for farrier, loads in the trailer, etc. She is used to dogs, tractors, atvs, and does not spook if a vehicle drives by while out riding on the gravel road.
She is a great filly, with a great temperament, great conformation, and she will excel at anything she is taught. She will need more training, but is meant for roping, ranching, cutting, working cattle, or something along those lines. This filly likes to be busy. Vet checks welcome at buyer's expense. Please come check her out!
