Buttercup is a 13 year old mustang mare who is a real doll. She is very pretty and nice to be around, she is primarily been used as a trail horse but does fine in an arena. She is good for the farrier and stands nicely to be groomed and saddled, She will stand tied tied for hours if need be, she is nice to ride and easy to handle. My kids ride her and have a blast. She isn't what I would call a finished horse, but perfect for the recreational rider she understands what the bit means and moves off leg pressure, even neck reins most of the time.... (read more) She lunges and will join up nicely..If you ride out on the trails in a group you could put a total beginner on her and she would babysit them all day!! If you plan on riding her out solo she is less confident and may balk or try to turn back home so out alone she needs a rider with the confidence she lacks. She is easy to handle even at her worst. She is an Easy keeper!!! and I mean EASY! She is overweight now and needs to be kept on a diet and exercise routine. I really feel like this mare would be a great first horse, for a lady or young girl. I have some videos of kids riding her if you would like. We ( im selling her for a friend) would like her next home to be her FOREVER home. We want her to live with her new owners ( no boarders) due to the fact that when board bills cant b paid horses are often lost or sold. Come on over and try her out.
