With much regret i must sell this beautiful boy. He was actually a horse i got from someone else and he was in very poor condition and i have totally rehabbed him. He is now current on everything(coggins and worming and will be given shots prior to leaving) and weighs over 1000 pounds. He is a gelding and is 12 per the vet and also gets along great with others. While he is still putting on weight i think he will max out at about 1300 pounds with more weight and muscle gain.... (read more) He is 16.1 and rides good. He would be great for a big man and i feel that he would be great for ranch work and pleasure riding. I was told he was previously used as a dude ranch wrangler horse and was also a barrel racing horse. He needs a job and needs to stay active and that's why i need to sell him as here he would maybe get ridden 3 days a week. He is so easy to deal with and is great for the farrier and the vet and he bathes great and i have clipped him with the clippers. saddles up great, takes his bridle and knows its time to go to work. I lunge him on a line and he knows his job there. trailers awesome too. The vet said his teeth look good and no float was needed, so maybe in about 2 years. He wears corrective shoes and pads as of right now due to heavy hoof neglect. I had x rays done on one of his hooves and there were abscess, but they are gone now, but a big hole in the bottom of his hoof, so that is why the pads, until it grows out and also the corrective shoes, so his shoes are training his hooves to grow the way they are suppose so . HE IS VERY SOUND AND HAS NO LAMENESS ISSUES. I am assuming that he will need pads kept on with his shoes for at least another 4-8 months, which is no big deal. I can even give you my farrier's number to talk to him about it. He does wind suck if he is not wear his cheep medal collar. This will go with him. He does not chew, only wind sucks, so keep the collar on and he wont do it. I have alot of money in this horse since i got him, but right now it's important that i find a great working, caring home. PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY. must have cash on hand to come and take a test ride. If u need a saddle bigger than a 16 inch, u will need to bring one. Picture IS current from 10/20/2014 with my 15 year old son riding him. Pictures do this horse no justice to his width and size as my pictures are takin at the wrong angles. 210-459-7384
