Update March 23rd: This mare just went to her first local show and cleaned house! Will be one to watch over the summer! Buy her now or get beat by her later! Olive placed in the top 4 in 7 out of 9 classes against some seasoned 'A' hunters and professionals. She placed in the top 3 in her 2'6" over fences even though she is still green and walked away with two Reserve Champions in the pleasure division and 2'6" hunters. Imagine what she will do with more training? Her attitude at the show was like she has been horse showing her whole life. She was phenomenal. This mare is truly special! Please contact me if you want to see current video- She is progressing so quickly in her training that we will need to make a new one!
*note: Olive does have a lead change and is capable of doing courses*
Olive is the real deal for the ambitious, discerning hunter rider looking for a quality prospect but doesn't have the budget to afford a fancy warmblood. She is 16.1 turning pearly white (although her mane and tail still have dark points). She has an absolutely lovely balanced canter, lovely trot and just a soft way of going that the hunters enjoy. Olive is now doing small courses with a lead change. Although green she never rushes the fence but does not refuse either. She just needs the right rider to come along and really fine tune her up for the show season and put the miles on her to make her a beautiful 3'0 hunter (could possibly do the 3'6" perhaps with the right training). Has been free jumped and shows tight, snappy knees thus far. There are two historical videos of her as a 3 and 4yr old with her previous owner if you wish to see them. Youtube Indy Blues/ horse or Indy Blues/ Jumping.
Has show experience in CA in AQHA HUS as a 3 yr old.
No kick, bite, rear, buck, spook or nastiness about her. Trailers well to new locations and handles new atmospheres fine. Can be grouchy when girthed but isn't nasty about it. Very workman-like attitude. Can ride out alone and isn't herd bound. Just needs the miles and the time. Life time membership with the USEF. Would be suitable for an advanced beginner or intermediate working with a trainer or older adult amatuer wanting a safe mount to enjoy.
Please contact me if interested in her as I am open to all offers!
Can haul within 200 miles.
