Otto is a fun little gelding who loves to please! He is an AQHA registered racing bred (Prime Time Chivato x Eye On Design) and has the athletic ability to go in any direction you choose. He knows all of the Clinton Anderson Fundamental groundwork exercises and is halfway through the Intermediate series (up to sidepassing on the ground). Started under saddle using natural horsemanship and has a nice w/t/c, solid back-up, turn on the forehand, and simple changes.... (read more) He is learning to take up contact with the bit. Sensitive and moves off your leg. Knows the word "whoa" and stops hard. He has great ground manners and bathes (including the face), clips, ties, picks up feet when you snap your fingers, lowers head to poll pressure, easy to bridle, loads onto the trailer and backs out straight, and stands still for mounting. Doesn't bite,kick,buck,crow-hop,rear,etc. Gets along well with other horses and enjoys people. Recently had his teeth floated, feet trimmed, and dewormed. Barefoot on all four. Up to date on shots (West Nile, Rabies, Potomac Horse Fever, R/F, EWT (Equiloid)) Will be getting Coggins vaccination soon. Vet was out on 8/7/13 and he was issued a clean bill of health. No history of health or lameness issues. The owner before us was his breeder so we are aware of his full history. He has been trail ridden as Jester Park Equestrian Center and Elk Rock State Park and did wonderful. He is not a spooky horse and is fine anywhere in the lineup. He has a nice ground covering walk for his size and he enjoys leading down the trail. He has attended a Flying Arrow show and behaved just as he does at home. Was shown in a English walk/trot class and placed 4th out of 12 in Open Jackpot. The solid foundation has been put on him for you to take him in any direction you choose. He has the stride to make a nice English horse and the speed and agility to be started on barrels/poles. Not for a kid/beginner rider as he is very naturally athletic and needs someone who knows his buttons. Please contact Rachel through email for lots more pictures/videos and answers to any questions you may have. Serious inquiries only please.
