Fun sweet trail horse for an experienced and/or confident handler with horse knowledge. Good with farrier, bathes, clips, ties, neck reins, pony's younger horses (or other horses carrying kids), has been on guided trail rides (but only with a guide riding her), loads in trailer no problem, and rides with just a bareback pad. You can take her out in traffic, around livestock, ride alone or in groups (she doesn't like to be in the back but can), and she doesn't seem to mind walking through water.... (read more) She loves to run out on trail (or walk) definitely has some speed to her, but slows it down in arena. She'd be safe to have kids ride with lead and/or lunge line in hand. She is toe-out so cannot do flying lead changes. Would make a great nurse mare. Couple of vices, she needs feed on top of hay to stay fat and once and a while she'll pull back while being saddled (a bit cinchy), however, she has been getting better using natural horsemenship techniques. If this is kept up, she'll be as good as gold. She was a rescue, so I'm not too sure about her past. I would say an experience handler only because of the occasional pulling back issue while tied up. Only reason I'm selling Jewels is due to my health. U/T/D on shots, trims, and worming. Good sound mare! I could also include (2) lessons if buyer wishes with experienced trainer. Don't miss out!
