Lily is a Registered 12 year old tri-colored tobiano paint mare, aprox 14.2 hands. She is a wonderful all around family/youth/smaller adult horse. My 9 year old daughter has been riding her the past 3 years and is ready to step up to a game horse. Lily has been used for trail riding, WSCA game shows, and 4H while we have owned her and she has done great and is very willing to do anything you ask of her. She has speed but prefers the slower gears, but with the right rider she can be pushed.... (read more) She will go down the trail for hours (goes through anything), pickets or stands tied to the trailer all day and has good ground manners. First to greet you, easy to catch, loves attention and to be groomed, bathed and clipped.
We are moving and my daughter is riding a new horse so Lily is sadly for sale in our transition. She is UTD on all shots, coggins, teeth and farrier and had wonderful hard black feet - no shoes required. She is an easy keeper, more of a boss mare, but that is the only negative thing about her. Does not buck or rear, but has kicked at strange horses when crowded on the trail but not in an arena setting so experienced CONFIDENT beginners will do great with her. She has no mean bone in her but she will test a new rider by trying to go back to the barn if riding outside the arena on your own, which could intimidate a rider. If the rider can be firm and redirect her she will go just fine and is calm. She would suit the timid riders if riding with other horses on the trail or when in an arena and ponies well. A great home is a must, we love this horse and hate to see her go. She would be a good step up from a pony or old trusty as that was my daughter's transition to her. I would put her temperament between a 2-3.
I may consider reasonable offers to the right home. Due to moving next week I am limited on time to show her and would like to find her a home by the end of June due to having to depend on friends to care for her while building a new home so please no tire kickers, serious buyers only.
Call, text or email with Questions, I will be very honest as I want the right home and to find one soon. I have more photos too.
