Early on May 30, Sadie decided to have her foal early. She hadn't "looked" ready the night before, but apparently decided she was, and had this beautiful buttermilk buckskin curly colt. When I looked out in the morning, the colt was following around the wrong dam; a BIG curly mare named Annie. The colt came to Annie's knees, so I knew he didn't belong to her. Annie was trotting around the field with him following closely on her heels, so I called Annie to the barn.... (read more) The colt is small enough that I could easily pick him up, and carried him inside. Once he was safe & sound in a stall I went and caught Sadie, and reunited the pair. Our little Lady's Man was happy to see his real mama, and started nursing right away. We are thinking of calling him "Lady's Man" since he'd run off with another mare, lol, but are not sure yet what to call him. This little colt should mature around 12.2hh, and is out of our CMC Sadie, a pony mare, and by CMC Midas Pale Prince, an ABCR curly stallion. ( His dam is about 10hh, and his sire is 15hh.) This stunning little colt is picture-perfect. His conformation is excellent, he's super curly, and best of all he's as sweet as they come. He doesn't have any white markings, and *should* keep his mane and tail all summer long. This colt can be registered with ABCR and ICHO, (we will register him with whichever registry the buyer wants ) and his paperwork for the other registry will be filled out and sent along with him. A deposit will hold him until he's weaned at the end of September. In the meantime this little colt will be handled daily, and trained to lead, load into a 2 horse trailer, and to stand quietly for the vet and farrier. Lady's Man is just $1200 to a good home. He can also be gelded before he leaves if the buyer prefers. Check out his pictures and video on our website~you may have just found your new best friend.
