Have only had this mare for a month, took her in from someone who couldn't care for her anymore so I really didn't know much a out the mare. She has great ground manners, trailers great, saddles and bridles great, lunges great and is good around children, tractors, dogs, deer, etc. She has a large scar on her back leg that I feel affects it and she wouldn't pick up a canter on that leg at all when I first got her but I got her to pick it up for a minute on the lunge line today so with exercise she seems to be improving but she can still be sensitive with it when picking that hoof.... (read more) As far as riding, I would recommend her to a confident rider bc she is one that tries to do her own thing so she needs to be directed but at the same time she will do what you ask even walk, or try, over a 2 foot jump if she's pointed at it haha. I dont think she's ever been asked to back up though bc I tried today and she fought it for a while until finally giving in a couple steps. She rides English and western and I ride her in a snaffle the 3 total times I've ridden her. I feel she's best for someone who just wants a horse to own or ride and not work hard but can't afford an expensive horse. I need to sell her NOW, I can't keep paying for boarding on two horses. Make me an offer. To approved home only. And no delivery available.
