Thunder Dun Rocked- (Tucker) is a 4 year old APHA registered gelding. He is Red Dun in color and stands at approximately 15hh. Has Tardy Bee Tuff on his sire's side and Lazy Bones on his Dam's side. Pedigree can be seen on Allbreedpedigree.com. Papers in hand and signed for transfer.
Tucker has had 90 days total professional training, with 30 being in barrel racing, he is much better suited to the show ring. Long and low he has a smooth Western Pleasure jog and lope and keeps his head even with his withers.... (read more) Hits his leads nearly everytime and if he doesn't get it right it is usually rider error and he is quick to switch the the correct lead. Rides off leg pressure and very little hands. Shows in a D ring Snaffle or a bosal. Will take a short shanked tom thumb with ease, the lighter the bit the better for this sweet sensitive boy. Schools at home in a halter and leadrope. Will go english and has been started over crossrails. Could make a nice all around show horse. Knows how to square up in a halter class and will trot and walk in hand. Moves away or moves with you. Learning how to pivot. He's a sweet boy and needs someone to help him on up to the next level in the show world.
Flaws- Tucker needs som weight, not much, maybe 20 pounds, just to finish covering his ribs. I have had him for 3 months and he's been turned out for 2 of them to gain weight. He also needs muscle built up, here it is being done on the ground, lunging (in correct form) to build his back and hundquarter muscles. This horse is in no way shape or form a rescue. He is simply a still growing baby hitting his growth spurts and changing his body. He is a bit lazy and sometimes may need to be ridden in bumper spurs, but he is very sensitve so nothing too very harsh. He has a long body to he doesn't like to load in a 2 horse trailer if you are in the trailer. Meaning you can't lead him in but you can stand outside and send him up in there with ease. I can provide videos of this so that you may see what I mean. He sometimes paws when he's standing at the trailer because he is a baby and does get bored. Usually if I tel him "NO!" he quits. Also he is a bit spoiled, he wants attention (he isn't pushy) but he will turn his head for you to rub him ro if you have something to eat or drink he wants some. I call this a PERSONALITY and I like it but I know most people don't so I've listed it as a flaw.
Reason for Selling- Through no fault of his own Tucker is up for sale. I am getting out of showing (as this is my final year in 4-H and I don't expect to show more than just casually) and I run barrels. Tucker is MUCH to good a show horse for me to try and make a barrel horse. It would be a waste of his talent.
Price-2000 OBO This price is NOT firm but do not low ball me either. This boy is worth every penny. NO TRADES.
