Jethro is a 12 year old Thoroughbred. He is my first horse, and has been great for me. He is easy enough for a confident beginner to ride. Once you get his respect, he will do anything for you. He was trained western style and is a great trail horse. I ride him English and have worked on some low jumps with him (he loves it, and would be great with some more work).
I ride him in a bitless bridle, but before that he used a soft snaffle.... (read more) He has never bolted, bucked, or reared with me. He is in perfect health, and up to date on everything (farrier, shots, checkups, etc.). He stands tied, ground ties, leads nicely, and loads nicely. He sticks his face in the halter or bridle for you. He lifts all four feet cooperatively and stands still for the farrier. He isn't prone to being herd or barn sour. His only vice is he can be cinchy (he has never tried to bite or kick, he just glares at me while i tighten the girth).
The reason I am selling him is because we live in a bad town. People are messing with my horse, and the police won't help me out. I'm fearing his safety (plus $1500 worth of stuff has been stolen from me) and I would like him to be in a safer place.
The best way to contact me is by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by text (9282196506). Only call me if completely necessary, I am not always able to take calls.
