Sugar is a very sweet mare. I orginally bought her for my son who wanted to learn to ride, and due to behavioral issues with him, and me going back to school, I am selling her. I originally purchased her from an all girls school in Rustburg, Va. in December 2011. There she was shown 4-H and was Grand Champion of her jump class. She has been ridden English and Western and has done great either way. I personally ride her western. She is a very easy keeper!... (read more) She loads with ease, clips, ties, bathes, and stands for the ferrier. She is great around dogs. She has never offered a kick, and really is a sweet pony, she does have her days though. She has done fine with my son as a beginner rider; however, he hasn't handled her on an everyday basis. She does need work with ground manners, and may require minor re-training, but I think she would be just fine with everyday handling. When she is around new people/strangers she is very antsie, but once she gets used to you she calms down. She has a little fatty knot about an inch from her left eye where she got knicked by a fence, this does not affect her vision and my vet says there isnt anything to be concerned with. When I got her they said she had running eye; however, I havn't had any issues with that and she doesn't require any type of daily medication. I am not someone who wants to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, so I have made sure my ad is very detailed. She is completely sound, negative coggins, and UTD on vaccinations. I can provide video and additional pictures via text message upon request. Please call between 4pm-8pm only. Text between 9am-9pm only. Thank you for your interest :)
