2005 bay thoroughbred gelding registered with the Jockey Club. He was previously raced, but for the past few years, has given lessons to beginning riders, does summer camp, and he has gone on tons and tons of trail rides (leads, follows, in a group and alone).
Was lightly trained over rails/crossrails but we haven't jumped him in a while (not because he can't, but because we are saddleseat riders at this barn and don't do jumping).... (read more)
With his laid-back personality, feel comfortable putting your beginner rider on him. He is also large enough and calm enough to tote your husband around. Unflappable, nothing scares him (tractor trailers zooming by, tractors, various farm animals, bridges, etc). Currently kept barefoot. He is actually a bit lazy, and is more than happy walking on the trails, but when you get after him a bit, he will have get up and go just when you need it.
Loads/hauls with no issues, clips, bathes, stands on crossties for hours, stands for farrier, etc. Great horse.
Would make an awesome hunter horse or dressage horse with his huge size. We have too many horses and are focusing on saddle seat riding (not hunt seat or dressage). Therefore, we sadly must place him for sale.
Priced to sell at $2500-
