5 year old well started palomino gelding. Ranch class photos from 6/12/12 Has had all the ground and arena work done now he is waiting for a job to do! He has crossed water, been around all sorts of machinery, dogs, small kids and all the related toys and debris and anything else they can see on a farm. He can lope circles both directions in the correct leads. Has great transitions between gaits. He has an amazing smooth stop and knows the word WHOA.... (read more) Will collect and flex at the poll when asked to back (he excells at backing). Starting to open gates nicely. Have had rope work done with him and will continue on with tracking and rating to cattle. Has been rode out of the box and had ropes thrown off him. Has tracked the donkey. He has been rode up and down the county roads, seen wildlife fly out of the grass etc. Easy to catch, bridle, saddle, give baths, clip, wear fly masks, load in the trailer, stand tied to the trailer and even fence post when out working cattle. Up to date on shots and has his feet trimmed every 6-8 weeks. He is very soft and flexs both directions and at the poll. Has coggins papers and health inspection in hand. AQHA paperwork is current and up to date. Big enough to rope on easy going and calm to trail ride pretty unflappable would make a good horse for a youth that has confidence. Thrown a rope off him and tracked the donkey. Horse trailers good in both straight load 2 horse or slant. REALLY good feet and nice bone under this guy. Has never required being shod and we trim him ourselves. Well balanced hooves. We have raised this boy and he is a good one. If we didn't have another 4 horses to start standing in the barn he wouldn't be going anywhere. He is right at the fun stage where you don't have to worry about him being a stupid colt and you can just work him because he is physically and mentally ready for it. Never bucked, reared or done anything naughty. He has been showing almost every weekend this spring and roping a night or 2 a week (Just learning still). He is Mr Gunsmoke and Blondies Dude bred.
