Available through Ladwig Sporthorses, meet Granite!

A stunning 16hh 4 y/o KWPN x PRE, Granite has the movement, brains, and looks to become your next FEI superstar! He got the best of both worlds: the pleasant temperament, solid work ethic, and balanced, uphill canter of his PRE sire, and the lovely long-striding walk and flowing trot of his KWPN dam. He’s easy to sit, learns quickly, and is pleasantly sensitive to your cues, making him the perfect prospect for a professional or experienced amateur looking for their next upper level dressage star!... (read more) He's not overly reactive or spooky and has no vices, but he does prefer a balanced, sensitive rider. He's currently schooling Training Level in dressage, and does well on the trails around the barn. We’ve free-jumped him once, and while he was definitely still growing into his legs at the time, he appeared scopey and careful.

Granite is barefoot with great feet and can live out 24/7. No maintenance, lunges nicely, stands well on cross ties, is easy to lead and handle, and does well for the vet and farrier. In the herd, he’s usually toward the bottom of the pecking order. He also has a lovely thick mane and tail that braids nicely and is easy to maintain.

You may notice in the photos that his left eye is slightly clouded. He’s CAN see through that eye. The cloudiness is from an old ulcer, and we have his vet records on file. It does not affect his daily life in the slightest.
