Beautiful 10 year old solid bay mare in foal to a registered IDSHR (International Draft and Sport Horse Registry) buckskin stallion (draft x QH) that stands 15 hands. I have the (JC) registration papers for the mare in hand. Mare has a sweet disposition, leads, ties, bathes, loads into the trailer, stands well for the farrier. She is current on worming, vacs. and Coggins. This mare retired sound from the track at age 4, then sent for professional training.... (read more) Daughter rode her on trails, and did some arena work, both English and Western, started her over cross rails, and did a couple of dressage schooling and fun shows with her. After daughter moved away, this horse got her approved broodmare # with AQHA, and produced two beautiful, hefty AQHA Appendix foals, one of which I decided to keep. She is a good mother that foals easily. She is confirmed in foal by ultrasound and by blood test at 60 days. She has been ridden mostly on trails in between babies. She is currently shod (fronts). I would like to see her go to a confident rider, especially someone who is set up to care for a foal, but not for first time horse family, or beginner.
