Beautiful confirmation, b.e.a.utiful head, great feet, strong legs and back.
I bought him as a 4yo and have been trail riding him. He will walk slow out alone and with small groups, but can get a little antsy/nervous within bigger groups. With the bigger groups he wants to be up front. I don't ride with big groups often, so I haven't really worked him thru this. Dan, the man, will highline and stay in electric fencing. I have had him in hobbles, once or twice.
He stalls great. He pastures great with my two other geldings He does fine on grass and hay, but will be "hot/amped up" if stalled and fed abundant. This gelding is a smooth ride with a great four beat gait and swingy walk. I have not cantered him much at all... it could use work. He could easily go from trail to rail. His breeding is exceptional with WGC and HOF horses on the top and bottom of his papers.
He is usually easy to catch, unless he is feeling playful, but loves to eat, so grab a bucket and he won't resist.
This horse has fabulous ground manners. He is easy to saddle and bridle and doesn't make a fuss. "Dan" does fabulous for the vet and farrier work. He crosses water, logs, and has gone anywhere I've pointed him. He will do better with a confident rider. He is a sweetheart, but I would not recommend him for beginners. I'd feel better if buyers would come test ride him. I'd like to know if horse and rider are compatible.
Thank you for looking!
