Frankie is an 8-year-old OTTB gelding looking for his next home. Frankie came to us through a rescue in November 2025. My partner (Frankie’s owner) is a veteran and Frankie helped to get him through some tough times. He really is a sweet, goofy gelding with a great personality. He is easy to handle on the ground, stands well for the vet, trailers well, and with a patient farrier does well for routine hoof care. Since coming to us, Frankie has primarily been a pasture pet due to our time constraints. We have done some light work with him in the round pen, where he has been willing. He was originally placed as a flatwork-only horse. Frankie has a documented history of hind soundness concerns and has recently shown intermittent lameness. Because of this, he is being offered very low and is best suited for someone looking for a companion horse or a horse to bring along thoughtfully within his limitations.

This decision is solely due to the additional time constraints created by unforeseen circumstances that have arisen in our lives. Frankie deserves time and individual attention as his potential and easy-going demeanor would make an exceptional addition to the right herd.

He is barefoot and trimmed about every 6-8 weeks. He has a vet appointment on Friday for fall shots and had a coggins in April. He will be receiving his last botulism vaccine in a couple weeks so he can safely enjoy a round bale this winter. He is being offered as green, companion or light flat/trail work with someone who can give him the time and patience to understand his limitations.
