Additional Comments

Captain is the sweetest gentle giant! He is a Tennessee Walker cross gelding about 14 years old and 16.3 hands. He is available for adoption through Star Child Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Clyde NC. Due to ringbone in his front legs, Captain is only suitable as a companion at this time.
Captain is gentle for absolutely anyone to handle. There isn't a mean bone in his body. He is easy to catch, lead, load, and tie. He is wonderful for the farrier without needing any kind of sedation or stocks.... (read more)
He gets along with anyone you put him in with from seniors to youngsters and even ponies! His current pasture mate is a 14 hand pony. He is a very easy keeper and does best turned out as much as possible. He does require a little maintenance to keep him comfortable, but it's easy to administer and isn't super expensive.
He is up to date on farrier work (he's barefoot!), coggins, and vaccines. He did have a large sarcoid on his side that we have been treating, and it's healing up great with no complications. It should not require any care from his adopters.
Captain loves treats and being pampered. He just wants to be included in what everyone around is doing. He will call out to you if he sees you and you don't come over to say hi to him. This big love bug will be the best friend for the perfect family!
