Vogue is a gorgeous 5yo titled (sale authority) mustang mare from Triple B, NV standing around 14.2hh. She was extremely low in the pecking order prior to me getting her, and I've only had her for a few weeks, so she does need some weight and muscle on her. She is a big boned mare and will be very stocky once she fills out.
Vogue has 3 weeks of training and knows the following skills:
• Can be caught/haltered (still a little shy at times, but doesn't take more than a minute or two to halter)
• Leads, loads, and stands tied
• Picks up all four feet, stands for grooming & fly spray
• Has worn a tarp, walks over bridges & poles
• Good with saddle pad/surcingle, and lets me jump up on her (not ridden yet, but I don't think it will take much at all)
• Flexes, pivots and learning to sidepass
• Learning to send in a circle and doing great
Vogue is an incredibly smart mare who wants to please.... (read more) Because she is recently gentled, she would be best suited for an experienced handler or someone working with a trainer. She is not bothered by much and after gentling over 30 mustangs, she is definitely one of the best minded horses I've worked with. She is up to date on vaccinations and coggins. She has not yet been turned out in electric, so will need 5' solid fencing to start out in (board, round pen panel, no-climb, etc.; I am happy to answer any questions about fencing). I do recommend a smaller area (small paddock or stall is fine, but probably not a large turnout) for the first couple of days while she bonds to her new human friend. If you aren't familiar with mustangs, they bond very quickly and will do anything for you once they have your trust, so if you are looking for your new best friend, here she is! She does have some battle scars from before I got her, but is sound and none of them are painful/affect her at all. PPE is 100% welcome at buyers expense!
She is probably not your next 1D barrel horse, but she would make an amazing 4H, all-around, or trail horse for someone! I gentle and rehome mustangs, so she is available at absolutely no fault of her own. She has flown through her training, and is ready for a home much sooner than I expected. She is eligible for the 2027 Wisconsin Mustang Makeover!
