He is by a spotted draft stallion and out of a Quarter Horse mare, combining the best qualities of both breeds. Turtle truly speaks for himself he is the same horse every single day and possesses the kind of mind everyone searches for. He has the attitude that makes everything easy: always willing, never having an “off day,” and never giving his rider any surprises. Turtle has become a barn favorite during his time with us. He is incredibly personable, loves attention, and genuinely enjoys being around people. On the ground, he is easy to handle and respectful, while under saddle he is exceptionally well trained. He has excellent lead departures, an automatic stop when you say “whoa,” and a smooth, comfortable neck rein. Whether you prefer riding on a loose rein or with contact, Turtle is uncomplicated and accommodating. English, Western, driving, or bareback, Turtle takes everything in stride. He is suitable for beginners and enjoyable for experienced riders alike. He is the type of horse you can confidently put anyone on and simply tell them to point and go. No matter where he goes, Turtle settles in immediately and acts as though he has lived there his entire life. Turtle is also easy on the eyes. His striking black-and-white color pattern, practical size, and kind expression make him hard to overlook. Combined with his affectionate personality, he has a way of winning people over everywhere he goes. Under English tack, Turtle shows impressive scope and athleticism. He would make an excellent prospect for jumping or dressage. He moves smoothly, carries himself naturally, and effortlessly picks up his gait whenever asked. He stays framed, balanced, and in position with very little effort.
