Trail Riding

Additional Comments

7 yr old, 14.3H black gelding. Buddy has a wonderful, consistent, solid four beat trail gait. He is sound, and is a very easy keeper. He has good hard feet which allows him to go barefoot in the mountains on rocky ground. He is good to trim his feet. I have ridden him a lot in the mountains with my husband's horse. He will lead and follow on the trail. He does not buck or rear, and is kind. He goes quietly on a loose rein. He does still need work on going out alone.... (read more) He can be watchy and might spook when out by himself because he still needs to build his confidence in going out alone. I am 75 and my husband is 80, we have four horses and want to cut back to two. I do love Buddy. He always meets me at the gate. He is a sensitive, responsive horse who likes to learn and enjoys being handled. I would like to find a younger, talented horseman who can continue to develop Buddy into the best possible horse that he can be.
