*** UNICORN SPECIAL ***
Banner is up for discussion due to owner illness and the medical bills that come with it. He would not be up for sale otherwise.
His resume is as follows:
- 17yo Grade Missouri Fox Trotter gelding
- Located in South Alabama
- 6k OBO
- 14.2hh and STOUT (packed an almost 6ft tall rider during 12hr shifts with ease)
- Light gold champagne (Can be registered with CHR- Champagne Horse Registry)
- Hobble Trained
- Was briefly trained by Micheal Gascon.... (read more)
- Leads, loads, bathes, stands for vet and farrier with no issues. He hasn't got a mean bone in his body
- He is an approved Mounted Patrol Horse for Alpha & Omega Mounted Security. Worked Bonnaroo in 2023 amongst 85,000 attendees (biggest turnout in 10 years). Has seen and been around some of the craziest things you can imagine.
- At Bonnaroo he stayed out on a high line at night. Will stand tied to anything with zero issue. You could probably tie him to a shrub and he'd stand there for however long you wanted.
- Can go for months without being ridden and when you pull him out of the pasture he'll still have the same attitude he had when you put him out there.
- BOMB PROOF. Banner has been ridden by good riders and by the greenest of the green riders. You can put your child on him, your husband on him, your grandma on him, shoot you could even put your great grandmother on him. He has been ridden by a pregnant lady and he took phenomenal care of her. He is safe for riders of all ages and all experience levels. (Don't put your mother-in-law on him unless you want her to fall in love)
- Will trail ride all day, day after day, and still be ready for more. If you want a horse that you can take along for a young un' or green rider for a multi-day trail ride Banner is the horse you want. Smooth gaits, rocking chair canter, it's almost impossible to fall off of him.
- Will trot in an arena and has been played around with on the barrel pattern packing youngsters in the past.
- Rides in a roper halter or a low port kimberwick.
- Low man on the totem pole
What Banner needs:
- He will need some conditioning to get him back in shape as he's been sitting in the pasture for a bit. And he may need a little refreshing but that won't take longer than a 5 minute warm-up.
- Needs new coggins and vaccines but was UTD until spring of 2025. (Will need to be paid for by the buyer). Hasn't been off property or around any new animals within the last two years so there's zero possibility of him having been exposed to anything contagious.
- Teeth will be due for a float on October.
