BRIGHTLIGHTSSBIGCITY, affectionately known as “Dawg,” is the kind of horse that checks all the boxes and then keeps giving you more.... (read more) This talented 6-year-old gelding is sired by $5.6 million sire Colonels Shining Gun and out of the proven mare Starbucks Hat, combining an exceptional pedigree with proven performance ability.

Dawg is a proven NRHA show horse with $3,353.20 in NRHA Lifetime Earnings, earned with limited showing. He is an NRHA Non Pro and Youth Futurity finalist, the Kiplinger Challenge Non Pro Level 4, Level 2, and Level 1 Champion. His show record demonstrates his ability, but there is still tremendous potential ahead of him.

What makes Dawg especially exciting is his future as an outstanding Ranch Riding and Ranch Versatility horse. He has the upper-level movement these events demand, with an exceptional extended trot, smooth, balanced transitions, and the ability to move up and down through his gaits with ease and confidence. He is athletic, comfortable, and willing, giving him the versatility to excel in the show pen while still being a genuinely enjoyable horse to ride outside.

In recent months, Dawg has simply been enjoying getting ridden, and he has proven that he is much more than a show horse. He loves riding through the prairie and canyons, confidently handles new surroundings, and takes everything you point him at in stride. Nothing seems to be too much for him, and he approaches new experiences with a willing, confident attitude.

And then there is his personality. Dawg is friendly, personable, and genuinely loves people. He loves to work, loves to play, and absolutely loves attention. He is the kind of horse that will happily stand there and cuddle with you after a ride. He is an easy keeper and low maintenance, making him as practical as he is talented.

He loads exceptionally well, clips, stands quietly for the farrier, and loves being brushed and doted on. Whether your goal is to chase championships in Ranch Riding and Ranch Versatility, continue his reining career, enjoy long rides through the country, or simply have a special horse that is fun to be around every day, Dawg is ready to take you there.

BRIGHTLIGHTSSBIGCITY is a proven athlete with elite bloodlines, a winning record, exceptional movement, an outstanding mind, and a personality that is impossible not to love. With limited showing already behind him and so much potential ahead, Dawg is the kind of horse that can truly become someone’s once-in-a-lifetime partner.
