"Rome is an absolutely stunning 5-year-old Draft Cross who has everything you could ask for in a big, beautiful gelding—size, athleticism, training, personality, and an incredible presence wherever he goes.... (read more) He is the kind of horse that immediately catches your eye, but once you ride him, you realize he has just as much to offer under saddle as he does standing still. Rome has been extensively ridden both in the arena and out on the trails and comfortably goes English or Western, making him an exceptionally versatile all-around horse.

Don't let his bigger build fool you—Rome is remarkably athletic, soft, and handy for a Draft Cross. He moves and rides much more like a Quarter Horse, with a light, responsive feel that makes him incredibly fun to ride. Rome has had professional reining training, giving him an excellent foundation in the arena. He is responsive to his rider, smooth through his transitions, picks up both leads easily, and has comfortable, enjoyable gaits. He is the perfect example of a big horse that doesn't feel big underneath you.

Under English tack, Rome is naturally in front of your leg, forward-thinking, and willing to work. His athleticism, movement, and trainability give him the versatility to continue in several different directions. Whether you want to ride Western, English, spend your days in the arena, or simply enjoy the trails, Rome is happy to have a job and eager to please.

Out on the trail, Rome is experienced, confident, and enjoyable. His size gives you that big, impressive feel while his willing attitude and good mind make him a horse you can truly enjoy riding. He has the experience to transition easily between arena work and hitting the trails, which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in one horse.

Rome's personality is every bit as special as his ability. He is friendly, personable, and absolutely loves attention. He's the type that quickly becomes your best friend and makes you want to spend just as much time with him on the ground as you do in the saddle. He stands quietly for the farrier, is an easy keeper, and does well whether stalled or living outside.

Rome truly offers the whole package—**big, beautiful, athletic, versatile, professionally trained, and incredibly personable.** Finding a Draft Cross with this combination of size and presence while still being soft, handy, smooth, and athletic under saddle is something special. If you're looking for a horse that can turn heads, be your best friend, and give you an incredible ride whether you're going English, Western, arena, or trail, **Rome is a true unicorn and one you won't want to miss.**
