This 4-year-old gelding is the kind of young horse that is hard to overlook. He is exceptionally handsome, beautifully made, and has the pedigree, athletic ability, and foundation to back it all up.... (read more) With striking blue eyes, beautiful coloring, an ideal 15-hand size, and the kind of presence that catches your eye, he is a standout from the first look.
He is exceptionally bred, sired by Colonel Shining Gun, an earner of more than $115,000, and out of a proven Topsail Whiz mare who earned $103,834 and has produced more than $330,000 in earnings. His pedigree is loaded with performance, and he has the natural athleticism and ability to match it.
He has nearly a year of professional reining training, giving him a solid foundation in balance, body control, stops, turns, and responsiveness. He has also spent 60 days in full-time ranch work, which gave him valuable experience outside the arena and helped develop the confidence, toughness, and work ethic you want in a young horse. He is extremely smart, athletic, and very cowy, with a natural feel for his job and the ability to adapt to whatever is asked of him.
He has a good start in the heeling and is a very promising rope horse prospect, but his ability reaches well beyond one discipline. He has the physical ability, foundation, and mind to continue in the direction his next owner chooses, whether that is furthering him as a rope horse, developing him as a performance horse, enjoying him as a trail horse or taking him in another direction entirely.
Just as impressive as his ability is his disposition. He is confident, curious, and incredibly likeable, with absolutely no spook. He has a big personality and is genuinely funny and enjoyable to have around and ride. He is the kind of young horse that makes you want to keep putting time on him because every ride shows you a little more of what he has.
Beautiful, exceptionally bred, athletic, smart, very cowy, and backed by a real professional foundation and ranch experience, this gelding has an unusually complete package for a 4-year-old. He has the looks to get noticed, the pedigree to get excited about, and the ability and mind to give his next owner a lot to work with. He is a special young prospect with a very bright future ahead of him.
