We have 12 horses in training at our ranch, and he is by far the SWEETEST one. He tries to connect with each new person that visits: meeting them at the gate, following them around like a shadow, waiting for them to come back out of the barn. You turn around, and there he is! He's constant and consistent.

This boy has more going for him than just his golden coat and Fabio mane and tail. He has a VERY SOLID mind; not in the way that he will make smarter decisions than you (he won't) but in the way that he doesn't let the stress of life get to him, he learns extremely quickly (which is good if you're consistent, and bad if you aren't), and he knows how to enjoy the finer things in life like taking leisurely strolls. Johnny Bravo is more whoa than go (note the choice of 'leisurely' in the previous sentence). Now ... if you went out as a group and other horses were in the mood to lope off, he would definitely keep up; he's very athletic and has a springy pep to his step as you'll see in his video - but if you rode him out on a trail alone (which he can do), you'd need to want the canter more than him and you'd need to convince him to participate. This is easy to do for intermediate + riders, but if you are a beginner, we will need to show you how to convince him (you get 3 free lessons and a lifetime of support, so this is easily managed.) He is a very SAFE horse but he is not well suited for young children simply because he needs a rider who will take charge - and not because he will do something unsafe, but only because he will do something lazy like stop to smell the roses or slow down to a stroll when you want to go for a run. While this is a partnership, and you will want to find things to make Johnny happy during your adventures, you will also need to be the leader when the occasion calls for a faster pace.
The majority of horses would be green-broke at only 4 years of age, but Johnny knows the ropes due to professional training. He is trained to a bit, a hackamore, or a bitless bridle. He's calm (very calm), still when the rider is getting into the saddle, stands quietly when asked (not hard to convince him on this front), walks and trots off easily, will lope off in circles with the correct cues, will spin with leg pressure, stands tied for hours, trailers beautifully, and bathes well. He has a peppy trot and a nice spring to his step. He has good, clean legs and no vices. Quirks: He likes other horses (A LOT) and some of them can get impatient with him because he can be very nosy, and he will follow you or other horses like a lost puppy (if he has a choice over you or other horses, he will still choose you every time). He has an endearing curiosity about anything that ANYONE is doing.
