Although she had a later start than some horses, it was through no fault of her own. She was started under saddle as a 2-year-old, then spent time with a barrel trainer at 5 years old to begin her pattern work. I purchased her as an 8-year-old, and she recently completed six weeks of professional barrel training and tuning. She is confidently patterned, has a quick, snappy style, and is ready for someone to haul and season.

Beyond the barrel pen, Shine has the versatility to excel as a sorting or ranch horse and has been extensively trail ridden. On the ground, she is kind, quiet, and easy to work with. Under saddle, she is best suited for an intermediate or experienced rider due to being sensitive and responsive. She can occasionally be watchful around shadows or flags but has never offered to buck, rear, or display any dangerous behavior.

Shine has excellent manners and is easy to own. She stands quietly for the veterinarian and farrier, ties, loads and unloads without issue, bathes well, stalls nicely, gets along with other horses, is not buddy sour, and is easy to catch. She has no bad habits and is an easy keeper.

She is sound with no known health concerns, previous injuries, or maintenance requirements. She has strong, healthy bare feet and has always been kept barefoot.

Shine is being offered for sale simply because I don’t feel we’re the right match for each other’s riding style. She is currently fit, legged up, and ready to begin hauling. She is up to date on Coggins, vaccinations, deworming, and dental care
