Casper is just as enjoyable outside the arena as he is in it. He happily hacks alone or in company, enjoys trail riding, and absolutely loves going swimming in lakes or dugouts. He is the type you can work toward your goals with one day and take out for a relaxed adventure the next. With tack or without he doesn’t care he is safe and amazing with both. He is safe and sensible, with no buck, or silly business and is a genuinely fun horse to have around. And did I mention that he has ZERO spook, and he is not a hot headed reactive horse, he is a thinker and is quite smart.

On the flat, Casper has a solid foundation, a soft mouth, collection, and lateral work. He is pretty automatic and very very very forgiving and always takes care of his rider and doesn’t hold a grudge. At home, he is a comfortable middle-of-the-road ride—responsive without being overly forward and not a horse that needs to be constantly pushed along.

Casper is currently schooling .75–.91at home and has been professionally schooled up to 1.07m. He has also successfully jumped 1.22m in a Chase Me Charlie, showing plenty of ability and heart over a bigger fence, he also moves bigger for his size, he can easily do lines that require a 12ft stride, although I do think it’s because of his powerful shoulder, it’s one of his best features lol. He also did 5 months of professional training with Dana Hryshko.

He has limited show mileage, having only attended a handful of shows, and is still developing his confidence and consistency in the ring. Casper becomes considerably more forward at shows, particularly once he enters the ring, and can get strong, so he benefits from a confident rider in that environment. At home, he is much more relaxed and straightforward. But has been improving significantly at every show.

With continued education and mileage, Casper could be developed toward either the hunter or jumper ring. He does best in a consistent program, but can also have significant time off and return to work with the same sensible attitude.

Casper is easy to handle on the ground, good for the farrier and vet, trailers, wears four shoes, and is up to date on routine care.
Casper’s versatility extends well beyond the English ring. He has experience working and herding/roping cattle, enjoys working around cows, and is comfortable with them. With the appropriate training, he could be a fun prospect for someone wanting to develop him further in a Western direction, including potentially ranch work or roping. He could also make a lovely all-around ranch or pleasure horse for someone looking for a safe, versatile partner who enjoys having a job.

Casper can live alone or in a group he doesn’t care, he is well behaved in both directions, he is on the lower end of the pecking order, he can also be trailered alone or in a group, he is not fussy at all. He is the definition of “just a chill guy” he is also a very easy keeper.

Casper is a very loved horse he has been with the same owner since he was 4yrs old, and finding the right home is an absolute priority. He has plenty left to offer and deserves someone who will appreciate his wonderful personality while continuing his education.
