Dewy came in for training a few weeks ago, and I honestly can't say enough good things about him.
His owners are looking to find him a new home, and if I were in the market myself, he'd be one I'd scoop up in a heartbeat.
Dewy is approximately 12 years old, stands 15.3 hands, and has a lip tattoo. He has primarily been ridden western, but I truly believe he would shine in the English disciplines. He is a beautiful mover with a lot to offer.... (read more)
Beyond his movement, he has a head full of sense. He's not a spooky horse, is great around cattle, rides out alone or with other horses, trailers easily, and is simple to catch and halter in the pasture. So far he is easygoing, has a chill personality that makes him enjoyable to be around both on the ground and under saddle.
In the interest of finding him the best possible match, there are a couple of quirks worth mentioning. He can become buddy sour if housed with mares, and he will lightly crib while eating his morning and evening grain. His incisors show no damage, and this is not a constant behavior throughout the day. A home where pasture is priority over a confined stall is a must.

Offering foundational training for performance horses, while addressing individual issues, utilizing a wholistic approach based on equine psychology, physiology, and biomechanics. These sound principles benefit all equine partners for ANY discipline. I have experience with draft crosses, stock horses, and ponies.
The basics we work towards with each horse are forward, soft, supple, & willing. We encourage curiosity in all of our horses and exposing them without making them dull, and sensitive without being afraid. Horses are typically trailered to different places 2+ times a week (Depending on time of year & weather) but are worked with a minimum of 5 sessions per week. We haul to local barns to ride in an indoor and outdoor arenas & trail rides to expose them to different terrain & obstacles creating a more versatile and confident mount. The benefit of exposure to real life outside can’t be overstated.
Rest assured, your horse will come back home a better horse than when it was, I keep communication lines open and up to date as well as videos and photos of our experiences.
