Tex is a handsome 9-year-old, 15.2hh Quarter Horse gelding with a beautiful champagne/cremello coloring and a personality that is hard not to love.

Tex has primarily been a trail horse and is happiest out exploring. He is not a spooky horse on the trails and has been enjoyable to take out and about. Tex is not a beginner’s horse and would do best with an experienced rider who is comfortable working through some stubborn/barn-sour behavior. He can get testy when heading home from a trail ride and will sometimes throw his head around and argue about leaving the barn. He is the type of horse who will benefit from a confident rider willing to establish consistent boundaries and continue his training.

He also has flat feet, so staying on top of his hoof care and maintaining a consistent farrier schedule will be important.

Tex has a lot going for him: he is incredibly handsome, affectionate, personable, and generally non-spooky out on the trail. He would be a great match for someone looking for a trail horse with personality who is also willing and able to put some additional training into him.
