Max is the powerhouse of cowhorses & wins a check every time he goes in the arena. He loves the cows & the chase! He is patterned & lays down a heck of a set of tracks on his big stops. Sidepasses & does flying lead changes. He is a NRCHA money earner in Youth. Our oldest aged out of Youth a while ago & our youngest prefers the cutting pen, so there is no reason for a horse this nice to just stand around.... (read more)

Max is also broke to the rope & has enough ass to put an immediate stop on the bigger calves. He will work the ranch also, & has been hauled all over to shows, including the AQHA VRH Worlds where he pulled out a Top 4 finish in the Youth division.

He does require light maintenance in the form of injections. He is currently barefoot & will need shoes if he is going to be put back into a regular work routine. He has been off for a while & will need reconditioned if going back to the show pen. He leads, ties, loads, hauls, vets, trims, bathes, shoes like a pro. You can leave him standing & walk away when being shod or bathing & he will not move. He will follow you around like a dog without even having to touch his lead rope. Open his stall door & walk away & he will stand there all day with his head out watching everything & won't even try to leave. He is the most loyal & loving horse we have ever had. Oh, and if you have a snack on hand, he will gladly share that with you as well.

Max prefers someone with a quiet, gentle personality, soft cues & someone to give him as much love back as he gives out. We would love nothing more than to see him remain in our training orogram with a new owner. He is very special to us & we will vet potential buyer a little bit to ensure he goes to the right home. He is UTD on healthcare, but will need a renewed Coggins if his new home is out of state,
